On View: Milner Plaza Alebrije Exhibit

La Cartonería Mexicana / The Mexican Art of Paper and Paste has expanded outside to Milner Plaza. Seven larger-than-life colorful alebrijes and other fanciful spirit animals are on display in front of the Museum of International Folk Art. The handmade papier-mâchésculptures reflect the creativity of contemporary Mexican cartoneros with their elaborate structural forms and hand painted designs. The pieces are on view until October 1 and are free and open to the public during regular operating hours.
