Office of Archaeological Studies Support
The Office of Archaeological Studies provides not-for-profit archaeological services for clients locally and nationally. These include ethnographic and historical research expertise, as well as award-winning educational outreach programs. The organization’s home at the Center for New Mexico Archaeology has five specialized laboratories, including an archaeomagnetic dating laboratory that is one of two full-time laboratories in the United States dedicated to this dating technique.
Archaeology-based educational activities, including lectures and hands-on demonstrations, allow participants to gain a better understanding of ancient and historic lifeways and technologies. Project Archaeology, the organization’s flagship education program, reaches students and communities throughout New Mexico.
Your gift to the Office of Archaeological Studies via the Museum of New Mexico Foundation ensures the organization the resources required to continue its important archaeological research and educational outreach programs.
