Licensed Museum Products

The Museum of New Mexico Foundation’s licensing program was established in 1998 to generate essential revenues to help support acquisitions, exhibition development, and educational outreach programs at the Museum of New Mexico.

West of the Mississippi, the collections of our museums are unrivaled in their depth and breadth. From textiles and furniture, jewelry, toys, silver and basketry, pottery, photographs, painting and sculpture, the collections are as rich and varied as the region’s international history. Taking inspiration from these historical, artistic and cultural artifacts from all over the world, manufacturers develop unique products for which they pay the museum a royalty or percentage of the product’s wholesale price. In addition to access to the archives, manufacturers may also use the museum’s name in the marketing and promotion campaigns. From this unique business arrangement, our museums earn additional revenues and gain nationwide exposure.
