Giving helps to support the programs you value most at the Museum of New Mexico. Through your generosity the Museum of New Mexico is better able to serve our children, preserve our cultural treasures and enhance the lives of over 500,000 New Mexico residents and visitors. 100% of every designated donation goes directly to the Museum of New Mexico.

Your donation to the Museum of New Mexico Foundation can do amazing things!

  • Sponsor exciting exhibitions and educational public programs
  • Conserve an historic bulto or painting
  • Provide a children’s bus ride to the museum
  • Send the Van of Enchantment to a rural community to teach history and traditional arts
  • Purchase books and resources for the museum libraries
  • Supply artifacts for treasure trunks sent to New Mexico classrooms and nursing homes to teach archaeology, pottery, woodcarving and more


WAYS TO GIVE
When you give to the Foundation, you can contribute to general funds or make donations for specific purposes.

Many people support the museums by making a donation to our Annual Fund for Museum Excellence. Our museums are fortunate to have their basic operating needs covered by the State of New Mexico. Your gift, though, supports the heart of our museums! The Annual Fund for Museum Excellence provides necessary support for education and outreach programs for thousands of New Mexico students; it enhances docent and volunteer training; provides research materials and conservation equipment; and it helps fund exhibitions and special public events. Gifts for special projects provide critical funding for the museum, over and above current operations. These gifts make unique exhibitions, educational programs and publications possible.

Capital gifts are those designated for construction projects, facilities improvements and major equipment needs.
